When The Past Meets The Present

October 13, it had been a long while since Ah L met up with Ah M and Ah C. Since Ah L left the group, they have been the only two who kept in touch. Each time they meet, Ah L is always thankful to God for them. They are the ones, who keep God close to Ah L. They are the ones, who stayed and let Ah L know, God may seem far, but He is here for Ah L.
As the chat continued through the night, a figure from the distance, made Ah L pause. Ah L's heart almost stopped. Making all attempt not to have any eye contact with that figure, Ah L's eyes darted; holding her breath, Ah L tried to ascertain the identity of the figure.
"Thud thud, thud thud," fast and loud, Ah L could almost hear her heart, . Ah L clenched her fists and immediately switched her eye contact, focusing on M. L. Oblivious to what was happening, the group continued to chat.
"Hey, you... " Ah L could hear the familiar voice from that figure, few steps behind M. L. An obvious attempt to catch the attention of Ah L.
Facing M. L who was speaking, Ah L lowered her head, with great effort, listening intently to what M. L was saying. Making all attempt not to look at that figure.
The figure continued to shout. Seemed like s/he already noticed Ah L. But no, Ah L, refused to have anything to do with that person anymore.
Heart racing, palms sweating... Ah L could only make all effort not to establish any eye contact with that figure........

A Decade after Sweet Eighteen (18)

Alice, Carine and Yyen celebrating Yuki's 28th Birthday! Guess where they are? At the Family Karaoke at Smith Street. Only $10 and they would get a free bowl of sharks fins! Woahaha… .don’t let Alice's sister hear this. She will kill Alice. Hee…. But I guess it’s fake anyway.. kekeke… but then… to try is to be tempted.. lol.. then.. all the more we won’t stop eating shark fins..

"Hee.. Yuki, what’s your birthday wish for the year? "

“ I didn’t think about it, this year… in Chinese… Wo mei you qu xiang leh.. (typical Singlish, must end with Leh!).. and the gals continue their singing… yiphee! ..

“ni zai type shen mer?” Carine asked.

Haha… Alice ran to sing again.. (good thing Alice's sister was not there too.. she will only ask Alice to stop singing. Alice thought, "only my poor friends will bear with my horrendous (oh.. maybe not that horrendous… cos Alice and Carine had heard a more terrible one! Lol (laugh out loud), hor? Goodness, that one, chuckled Alice, she had laughed til her tears were rolling down her cheeks, yet the chap continued his singing. " However, it would be really unkind or even mean since Alice doesn't sing well as well. Alice quickly brushed off the evil thoughts.

Alice's thoughts began to wondered.

It was good to gather, to enjoy the singing of Yyen (whose singing really melted her heart, and the envy of Alice who can hardly sign. Chatting, Alice continued to type her "wu liao" (as well said by Carine) messages. However, Alice strongly believed thata this was the way to improve and pen ones' thoughts, feelings, and experiences, using the most appropriate words and writing them as short and sweet as possible, and to the point!

And now, Alice then realised that her file has been named "Alice's dui bai". Maybe, Alice should use this as the name of her first blog? After all, it is really hard to think of a suitable name, and to be a good writer.

However, Alice has to be a good listener and good observer. Realizing that Yuki was then shivering in cold, while Alice was typing under the warmth of her sweater (Adidas sweater! One that Alice had been so proud of). Poor Alice, it seemed like that was the only one reward from her trip to Perth.

Hmm..... and Carine, she was starting on her tour talk again. Another lady to be envied (oh, the super high pitch singing. Alice was going to die of envy soon). That;s really the advantage of being single. And today, Yyen also shared about Mr A and Mr B, the new guys in her life. And, gossiped about the Mr B, who happened to have the same surname as Alice.

Just then, Ah Mei's singing was played. Ah Mei, was the only few singers that Alice really likes. Alice really admires them for their arts and skills, and that they are really "shi li pai" performer.

This, then reminds Alice of the days of KTV on Ah Mei’s songs with Amely and time flies! There were only 18 when they got to know each other.
